Hello again everybody. Okay, a lot of people said the last trick was a little too
0:04
hard.
0:05
I do hard tricks. I do easy tricks. I do gimmick tricks. And I do and self-
0:10
working tricks.
0:11
This is a pretty easy math self-working trick and it is . So you have a
0:15
spectator a card. Let's say, it's the Four of Clubs. And then what we're
0:19
is, we're going to the deck in , and have the spectator put the card
0:23
one of the two piles.
0:24
Let’s say they put the card on top of that . And what we’ll do is, we’ll count out piles,
0:28
and just continue to the cards on top of one of the piles. The card was
0:36
the Four of Clubs.
0:37
And you don't know this. They’re remembering their card. And then when we're done we square up
0:44
the four piles and we them and ask the spectator one at a time, “Do you
0:48
see your card in this pile?”
0:50
They'll say, “No.” rid of it. “Do you see your card in this pile?”
0:54
There's a Four of Clubs. So they’ll say “Yes.” We'll get rid of the .
0:57
Now what we'll do is we'll do it again. One two three four. One two three four. One two three four. One––
1:05
okay, well we got an extra card in this pile. Let's get that. Now we have
1:08
three piles.
1:09
Let's get rid of the and bottom card of this pile, the top and card of
1:13
this pile, top and bottom card of this pile, and the three cards like this.
1:18
Let the hold them, and tell them to get rid of the top and bottom
1:20
card. And turn it and there is the selected card, the Four of Clubs.
1:25
Okay the way this trick works is, you to is be able to cut the cards
1:30
to the twenty-fifth, twenty-sixth, twenty-seventh or twenty-eighth spot, and I just the cards:
1:36
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty.
1:42
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Okay, twenty-seven.
1:46
Every time you be able to cut to do that.
1:50
And if you do that it will work, and I'll keep the card -up and show you
1:54
the trick . We make four piles––
1:56
One, two, three, four, and each one of these piles represents––one pile represents the
2:02
twenty-fifth, and one represents the twenty-sixth, one the twenty-seventh, and one the twenty-eighth card.
2:07
That's why it'll if the card is––if
2:10
the deck is cut to one of those spots. So now we know that the card is
2:15
the Four of Diamonds. It's in that pile, so we do––do exactly what I did,
2:19
where you go, “One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four. One”––then you say, “Oops, well we
2:24
have an extra card here. Let's rid of that. And then we tell the spectator, “Okay,
2:28
hold the cards. Get the top and bottom card here,
2:31
top to bottom card here, top and bottom part here,
2:34
two three cards, let them hold the cards.
2:37
Say, “Okay, the and card," and then they the card and
2:41
it's their card, the Four of Diamonds.
2:43
The trick works time. You should be able to cut the cards right down the
2:46
middle.
2:47
So it's a pretty cool trick, a lot easier than the last one.
2:51
Thank you see you all next time.
